In July 2017, a group of 17 universities from 5 continents and Coursera decided to launch a new learning experience for those who want to turn their learning into real-life impact: help achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The SDG's represent a political roadmap for countries and societal stakeholders aiming to reduce world-wide poverty and inequality, improve global health and well being and protect the environment.
